WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR READING AND OTHER PREPARATION MATERIALS?
  • The ages and stages documents are so so helpful. After looking through the questions in the questionare it made me feel prepared and not afraid to get to know the families. For some reason I felt like starting this class i would feel very unqualified in helping these families but the questionare helps me feel at ease in knowing right in front of you what the child could work on to improve.
  • We can never plan too many back up plans!
  • What additional questions do you have? I am still a little confused on how to make 4 different lesson plans. I am still learning how to write up the lesson plan in order to suit what is easier, harder, and a completely different activity.
  • Weekly Quote: "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail"- Gustavo Preciado, this quote made me think of how when we go into homes to do home visits and we are unprepared we will not be able to help the families improve. Preparation before doing home visits will end in failure, "just winging it" allows for error and no improvement.
